The best Idle Miner Tycoon tips and tricks come down to one order of play: unlock as many mineshafts as you can, keep the Elevator and Warehouse fast enough to carry what the shafts produce, hire and activate a manager everywhere, then Prestige a mine as soon as you can pay the fee and still rebuild quickly. Free Super Cash comes from milestones, Event Mines, Expeditions, Prestige and daily rewards, never from “generator” sites or mod APKs.
The tips below are ours, built on Kolibri Games’ Idle Miner Tycoon help center, Kolibri’s developer blog and the store listings, all checked on November 5, 2026 UTC. The current iPhone version is 5.67.0 (released October 30, 2026), and the Google Play listing was updated on November 5. Many help-center articles were last edited years ago, so where a number is old, we say so.

Quick answer
- Upgrade first: new mineshafts, then the Elevator and Warehouse until they keep up with your deepest shafts. Kolibri gives the same rebuild order after a Prestige.
- Managers: hire one for every shaft, the Elevator and the Warehouse, then use the Mine Overview (crossed hammer and pickaxe) to activate all of them in one tap.
- Prestige: do it when the fee leaves you enough Cash to buy back your shafts fast. Each mine can Prestige six times, and Prestige Stars unlock continents from the Fire Continent on.
- Events: play every Event Mine for Season Points and badges. Spend boosts there, but keep them out of Frontier Mines, where boosts don’t work.
- Super Cash, legitimately: milestones, Event Mine and Season Pass rewards, Expeditions, Everdeep rewards, Prestige and daily rewards. Kolibri’s Fair Play Policy bans cheats, and sanctions include account bans.

Idle Miner Tycoon tips and tricks: what to upgrade first
Every mine is a chain: shafts dig, the Elevator carries the ore up and the Warehouse sells it, so the slowest link caps your income. Kolibri’s own advice after a Prestige sets the order: buy as many mineshafts as you can, then upgrade the Elevator and Warehouse until their output matches your most advanced shaft.
Our suggested order for any mine, new or rebuilt:
- Open the next mineshaft as soon as you can afford it. Kolibri’s rebuild advice puts buying shafts first.
- Check the Elevator and Warehouse. If ore piles up at the shafts or at the top of the Elevator, the transport side is your bottleneck. Upgrade it before anything else.
- Level up shafts between unlocks, then check the transport side again, so the Elevator always has a full load to carry.
- Start Rock Barriers early. Barriers open on a timer (Kolibri’s help pages mention barrier timers, and Super Cash can unlock them), so start one before you go idle.
- Open every mine on the continent before you use Instant Cash tokens (more on that below).
These are the level caps Kolibri lists, so you know where each part tops out:
| Part of the mine | Maximum | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Normal mineshafts per mine | 30 | Each can reach level 800 |
| Elevator and Warehouse | Level 2,400 | With normal shafts only |
| Core mineshafts | 5 extra, level 800 | Need Prestige 5 in that mine and the 30th shaft |
| Elevator and Warehouse with core shafts | Level 2,800 | Core shafts raise the cap |
Managers: hire, activate, then go idle
To hire a manager, tap the empty spot in a shaft (where no figure stands) and choose “Hire manager”. Kolibri’s help center notes that managers must also be activated: open the Mine Overview with the crossed hammer and pickaxe icon and tap “Activate” at the bottom left to switch on every manager in that mine at once. There is no button for a whole continent, so repeat it in each mine before you put the phone down.
Super Managers are the stronger version, with active and passive abilities. They come from the Mainland and the Impossible Island. Kolibri’s 2020 blog says the Mainland opens once your 13th Gold Mine shaft reaches level 10. The basics:
- Green Gems hire Super Managers, Blue Gems level up their active ability and Red Gems promote them (passive abilities).
- Tokens open Briefcases, Briefcases give Fragments, and Fragments unlock new Super Managers or rank up the ones you own.
- Power Crystals each cut the Blue or Red Gem cost of a level-up or promotion by 50%, and you can stack them down to zero.
- Each Super Manager works in one building only (shaft, Elevator or Warehouse), so a new hire that won’t fit just needs a different spot.
- Unlocks can’t be re-rolled, and Special Tokens for limited Super Managers are lost if you don’t spend them before the offer ends.
Which Super Managers to pair is its own topic: our Idle Miner Tycoon Super Manager combos guide lists the 21 pairings Kolibri recommends, so we won’t repeat them here.

When to Prestige in Idle Miner Tycoon
Prestige resets one mine to the start in exchange for a much higher earnings multiplier. Kolibri’s rules: each mine can Prestige up to six times, every level gives a bigger multiplier, the fee is paid in that continent’s Cash and shown on the Prestige pop-up, and you keep the Cash left after the fee, your Super Cash and every other mine. The fan-run Idle Miner Tycoon wiki adds that Super Managers stay, normal managers and that mine’s ad boost are lost, and each Prestige pays 100 Super Cash.
Our timing rule: Prestige a mine as soon as you can pay the fee and still have enough Cash left to re-buy its first shafts and transport levels quickly. In our view waiting longer rarely helps, because every hour without the bigger multiplier is income you don’t get back. Three more reasons not to wait:
- Prestige Stars unlock continents. From the Fire Continent onward, a new continent needs Cash plus a number of Prestige Stars, and continent rewards from the Ice Continent on are tied to Stars too. Unlocking a continent doesn’t spend your Stars.
- Elemental Mode opens once you have enough Prestige Stars. Its mines pay Essences, which craft extra Fragments for Super Managers you already own.
- Core shafts need Prestige 5 in a mine, so pushing one mine deep pays off with five more shafts and a higher Elevator and Warehouse cap.
How big the jumps are: the wiki’s multiplier table (marked as updated for version 2.73.0, so older than today’s 5.67.0) shows the first two Grass Continent mines like this. Treat it as a guide to the size of each step, not exact current values, and check the pop-up in your game.
| Mine | Prestige 1 | Prestige 2 | Prestige 3 | Prestige 4 | Prestige 5 | Prestige 6 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coal Mine | 4x | 20x | 30x | 45x | 60x | 145x |
| Gold Mine | 8x | 28x | 42x | 63x | 90x | 154x |
The same table lists the Coal Mine’s first Prestige at 23.3ac and the Gold Mine’s at 142ad, so (our suggestion) Prestige the earlier, far cheaper mine of a continent first. After a Prestige, rebuild in the order above: shafts first, then the Elevator and Warehouse.
Boosts, ads and Instant Cash
Boosts multiply your earnings, offline too. Kolibri’s 2020 blog says they range from 2x for an hour up to rare 2,000x multipliers. The rules worth knowing:
- Ad boosts double your other active boosts. Stack a shop or event boost first, then watch the ad. With the No Ads bundle you still tap the button, but the boost applies instantly, offline included.
- Instant Cash pays out for the whole continent. A 4-hour token gives 4 hours of Cash based on the Idle Cash of every opened mine on that continent, so open as many mines as you can before you use one. A token bought with Super Cash in the shop is used at once on the continent you’re on, so buy it from your strongest continent.
- Permanent boosts stack. With both “Double Cash forever” and “Double Idle Cash forever”, Idle Cash shows 4x and Cash 2x.
Events: Event Mines, Season Pass, Everdeep and more
Events are where most free rewards come from. Here is what each one asks of you, based on the help center:
| Event | How it works | Our tip |
|---|---|---|
| Event Mine | Themed mine, usually 5 days; badges from Participation to Elite; event Cash doesn’t carry over | Spend boosts here; milestone rewards land automatically |
| Season Pass | Event Mine milestones give Season Points; free track for everyone, a paid Premium Pass for one month (not a subscription) | Play every Event Mine in the month; unclaimed rewards are added when the Season ends |
| Expeditions | Common to Legendary; 3 choices, one re-roll a day; each friend who joins cuts the time; needs internet | Keep one running at all times; Kolibri’s 2020 blog said over half of all boosts came from Expeditions |
| Everdeep | Time-limited Biomes of mines; 2 stars skips 1 mine, 3 stars skips 2 and you keep the skipped XP | Push for stars in the early Biomes to reach better rewards sooner |
| Chrono Mine | Online leaderboard race with elemental shafts and no barriers; boosts, Artifacts and Research apply | Save strong boosts and match Super Managers to each shaft’s Element |
| Frontier Mines (Tesseract is a special version) | In Frontier Mines only Super Managers and managers come with you; boosts, Super Cash and Instant Cash don’t work | Don’t plan your boost stock around these |
| Lucky Wheel / Lucky Draw | Cost Super Cash; one discounted Wheel spin a day; Draw prices rise each time | Optional: only spend if a reward is worth more to you than your next barrier |
Artifacts give permanent bonuses on the normal continents (not Event Mines, Mainland or Impossible Island), but some consume the boosts you hand in, so don’t unlock those right before an Event Mine. Research on the Research Island buys Skills with each continent’s Cash (the Lost Desert has no branch of its own). The in-game shop also gives a free wooden chest of Collectible cards every four hours.

How to earn Super Cash legitimately
Super Cash is the premium currency. You can buy it, but there are plenty of free sources, and Kolibri’s blog says it deliberately hands Super Cash out through advancement, daily, Expedition and Event Mine rewards. The legitimate sources we could confirm:
| Source | What you get | Where we found it |
|---|---|---|
| Mine milestones | Super Cash for unlocking specific mineshafts and similar goals | Kolibri help center |
| Event Mine milestones | Example given: 10 Super Cash for unlocking Mine Shaft 5 (varies by event) | Kolibri help center |
| Prestige | 100 Super Cash per Prestige | Fan wiki (last edited July 2023) |
| Everdeep rewards | Super Cash is among the Everdeep rewards (free and paid Everpass tracks) | Kolibri help center |
| Daily and Expedition rewards | Super Cash and boosts | Kolibri blog |
| Official social channels | Kolibri gives away boost tokens and other items on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and Discord | Kolibri help center |
How to make it last (our tips): spend Super Cash on things that save real time, such as Rock Barriers in your best mine, rather than spins. If Sue’s Treasure Trials is running, that is the time to spend, because the event rewards Super Cash you spend anywhere in the game while it’s active. And remember it’s a game currency only: Kolibri states that you can’t earn or withdraw real money from Idle Miner Tycoon.
What to avoid: “free Super Cash generators”, modded APKs and unlimited-money hacks. Kolibri’s Fair Play Policy says not to buy, make, share or promote cheats or abuse exploits, and its sanctions range from restricted features to game and account bans. Kolibri also says its staff will never ask for your password.

Six times per mine, according to Kolibri’s help center. Each level gives a bigger multiplier. The fan wiki adds that Prestige works only in mines on the normal continents, not in Event, Mainland or Frontier Mines.
Does Idle Miner Tycoon have codes?
We found no code-redemption article in Kolibri’s help center on November 5, 2026. Kolibri’s free giveaways (boost tokens and other items) go out through its official Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and Discord channels.
Can you earn real money from Idle Miner Tycoon?
No. Kolibri says all Cash and Super Cash stays in the game and can’t be withdrawn.
What happens to Super Managers when you Prestige?
