South Park’s Oct 28 episode aired about 20 seconds of new GTA 6 gameplay: Jason hitting a dog walker with dog poo. Rockstar is thanked in the credits.

New GTA 6 gameplay aired on TV before it reached Rockstar’s own channels. The South Park episode “Guinea Pig On A Stick”, which premiered on Comedy Central on Wednesday, October 28 at 10pm ET (02:00 UTC on Thursday, October 29), includes a short clip of Grand Theft Auto VI: Jason on a crowded beach, attacking a dog walker with a bag of dog poo. Rockstar Games is thanked in the episode’s end credits, according to Eurogamer and Insider Gaming. Neither Rockstar nor Comedy Central has said anything publicly about the clip.

Insider Gaming reported it at 03:44 UTC. IGN, Eurogamer, VGC and Dexerto followed this morning, and the first two worked from the episode itself. Eurogamer says it has seen the episode and “can verify the authenticity of the footage”. IGN quotes the credits and calls the clip “just shy of 20 seconds of genuine, exclusive gameplay”.

What the GTA 6 clip in South Park shows

Every report describes the same short sequence:

  • A dog relieves itself on a busy Vice City beach, and its owner, an NPC, bags the mess.
  • Jason throws something at the man, who turns to confront him.
  • Jason grabs the bag and hits the man in the head with it, which starts a fight.

The clip does not show missions, vehicles or any new characters. IGN highlights “a sense of the density of NPCs on the beach in gameplay”. Packed beaches have been a big part of Rockstar’s pre-launch trailers and screenshots.

How the scene is set up in the episode

This season the show goes by the name “South America” in its official posts. In the episode, a woman shows Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Randy and Stephen Stotch footage she says was “smuggled” into the country. “The graphics are seriously next-level,” she says, per Eurogamer’s transcript, before ending with: “That… is what’s coming in November.” VGC links the setup to the US midterm elections on November 3. IGN reports that the woman is voiced by Tish Hicks, who also narrated Rockstar’s GTA 5 gameplay trailer.

GTA 6 has been a running gag all season. In earlier episodes, characters keep promising that things will get better in November, when the game comes out. South Park has satirised Rockstar before: Red Dead Redemption 2 was at the centre of the 2018 episodes “Time to Get Cereal” and “Nobody Got Cereal?”.

Is it official footage?

The credit is the strongest evidence so far. A thank-you to Rockstar Games in the credits points to the studio’s cooperation. Still, neither Rockstar nor South Park Studios has said how the footage was supplied or whether it comes from a final build. Rockstar’s X account had posted nothing about the episode by 10:15 UTC. South Park’s own October 28 post promoted the episode without mentioning GTA 6. VGC says the footage was “presumably provided” by Rockstar. We have not embedded the clip, which is circulating as re-uploads of the broadcast.

The mechanic itself was described before. On August 28, YouTuber TGG said after a visit to Rockstar North that co-studio head Rob Nelson told him players could knock a bag of dog poo out of an NPC’s hand and throw it, as Kotaku reported at the time. The South Park clip is the first time it has been shown.

How it fits Rockstar’s GTA 6 marketing push

The clip aired the same night Edge published its GTA 6 cover feature, which we broke down in what Rockstar told Edge about the GTA 6 map and NPCs. That feature also describes the police side of this kind of street chaos: a “heat” system that tracks your description and clothing, stinger strips that are “almost invisible” at night, and a K9 unit that pins Jason to the ground in one demo. For the people in the clip, see our GTA 6 characters list.

What’s next

GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026 for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Our GTA 6 release time, pre-load and file size guide lists the unlock times by region. The episode streams on Paramount+ from the day after its premiere, according to South Park’s official X post. We will update this story if Rockstar or Comedy Central comments on the clip.
