Battlefield 2042 is one of the best FPS games of this year. Even though there are minor issues like a few bugs here and there, it still manages to be a really enjoyable experience, especially due to its gunplay and amazing environments.

There are really big maps in Conquest, and I personally loved that it’s a very enjoyable experience, especially when you are playing with your friends; the 128 player matches are really intense. I haven’t had a single boring match in Battlefield 2042. I even enjoyed those where I got totally destroyed by the other team’s players and do not even get me started on the Portal Mode. It’s the best thing that Battlefield has done since Battlefield 4. I got really nostalgic while playing on the Battlefield 1942 map.

The main reason I did not like Battlefield V was because of the terrible servers, but Battlefield 2042 has really improved on that situation. I had 0 issues with the servers in Battlefield 2042, but at the end of the day, it depends on your internet connection as well.

There are only a few maps at the time, but I cannot complain because they are so well made and easy to have fun in; it’s an absolute joy playing this game on PlayStation 5.

The Use of Dualsense Haptic Feedback really adds to the Gameplay of Battlefield 2042

Skyscraper Battlefield 2042

I believe that Battlefield 2042 takes the most advantage of Dualsense’s Haptic Feedback and adaptive triggers; nearly every surface feels different and do not even get me started on the adaptive trigger use of Dualsense in this game. It works like a charm and really adds to the amazing gameplay. I hope that EA continues to use the Dualsense features similar to this in their upcoming titles as well.

Best Graphics on Next-Gen Consoles So Far

Even though it is a Cross-Gen game, it manages to capture everything good about the Next-Gen Consoles and their features. I have not played any games on PlayStation 5 so far that look better than this DICE, and EA have really set a standard with this one. The environments are jaw-dropping; I love the random sandstorms and other things that have been added to the Weather in different maps.

Battlefield Portal is a Mode worth playing for any Battlefield fan.

I have been playing Battlefield since Battlefield 1942, and I love the Portal Mode. I cannot describe my joy of seeing Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 1942 maps in this game; it’s worth purchasing Battlefield 2042 alone because of the Portal Mode. I have already spent tons of hours playing the Portal Mode, and I cannot wait to spend even more; it is just endless fun for any Battlefield fan at this point.

Flying Vehicle Controls are terrible.

Battlefield 2042 Plane

I really do not like the Airplane controls in this game at all. This is the only major issue I have with Battlefield 2042. I believe that there should be a bit of Haptic feedback while you drive the vehicles and the Flying Vehicles are just terrible; I still have not gotten used to the Flying Controls, and I have tons of hours in this game. I really think that they should have kept something more basic like normal inverted controls for Planes at least, but I might be the only person who did not like this, so it might just be me, I guess.

Verdict

Battlefield 2042 is definitely worth the purchase if you like any old Battlefield games or if you are a fan of FPS games and are looking for a completely different vibe; the huge maps really made this game way more fun for me, even though I have seen some people complaining about it I guess it’s just preference and opinions at the end of the day, but the Portal Mode is worth the price tag you can also get a 10 hour trial with EA Play of this game if you want to try it before you buy it.

Judging by the updates that DICE and EA made for Battlefield 1 and V, I think that it is only going to get better from here. I hope that they fix some of those glitches and bugs with the upcoming updates; even though they only occur rarely, it can get a bit annoying, however, if you are looking for an FPS game with amazing VFX, Gunplay, Gameplay and Great Servers then buy Battlefield 2042.
