A Plague Tale: Innocence, the positively received 2019 title, will see a release on the current generation of consoles very soon, and on the PS5 system, it has been noted to have a smaller file size in comparison to its original PS4 version. Large file sizes are one of the most common criticisms of quite a number of games, particularly the Call of Duty games, with some of their titles having around 200GB of data, taking up an overwhelming amount of storage on a limited console system. Players would reasonably be worried regarding their games’ file size so as to not fill up their storage immediately, and A Plague Tale: Innocence’s file size will take up less space on the PS5.
The positively received title will take up 31.5GB, in comparison to the original’s larger 38GB file size on the PS4, with a noticeable decrease from the last generation of consoles. With this smaller file size, there may be even more games following up with smaller file sizes on the current generation of consoles to allow for more games on their systems. A Plague Tale: Innocence will be released on the PS5, Xbox Series consoles as well as on the Nintendo Switch this coming July 6.
