Cygames has canceled both Los Angeles concerts of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby 7th EVENT: THE STAGE world tour, which were set for October 22 and 23, 2026 at the Peacock Theater. The official English Umamusume account announced the Umamusume LA concert cancellation at 04:30 UTC on October 20 (9:30 p.m. PT on October 19), saying the necessary US entry visas could not be obtained. On-site and streaming tickets will be refunded.
The decision came half an hour before the deadline Cygames had set itself a day earlier, and less than three days before the first show.

What Cygames said about the visas
The announcement gives one reason for the cancellation. In Cygames’ words: “Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.”
The publisher apologized to fans “for announcing this so close to the event date,” and closed with a second apology to the Umamusume cast, partner company staff and everyone who worked on the shows. The statement does not say whose visas were affected or why they were not granted, and Cygames has not added detail since.
The warning came a day earlier. On October 19 at 03:00 UTC, the same account posted that during preparations “we received notice that the visas for entry into the US had yet to be approved,” and promised a final decision by 10:00 p.m. PT that day. Both posts link to notices on the official site (news/100110 and news/100113).
Umamusume LA concert refunds: what ticket holders get
- Shows canceled: 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES, Day 1 (Thursday, October 22) and Day 2 (Friday, October 23), Peacock Theater.
- Refunded: on-site viewing tickets and streaming tickets. The two shows were also due to stream live on ABEMA Live.
- Refund timing: not announced yet.
- Extra steps for in-person ticket holders: Cygames says it is “looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person.” It asks for patience and says details will appear on the 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR official website.
- Rescheduling: none announced. The statement makes no mention of a replacement date or a stream-only show.
Tickets were sold through AXS, according to the official account’s earlier posts. Extra seats went on sale as recently as October 15. Anyone who traveled or booked hotels for the shows should keep an eye on the tour site, since that is where Cygames says the in-person follow-up will be posted.
Is the rest of the world tour still on?
Nothing in the cancellation notice touches the other stops. The official tour site still has pages set up for London, Seoul and Yokohama, which are not yet published, and Dexerto and Siliconera both report that those shows are still planned. Dates for them have not been announced. Cygames revealed the overseas leg in June, with Los Angeles as the first stop.

Umamusume concerts are built around the Japanese voice cast, who sing the game’s songs and perform as their characters on stage. Siliconera pointed out that this makes swapping in other performers unrealistic. It also noted that Kuro Games kept its Wuthering Waves concert at the same theater on October 17 going by replacing a singer who faced a US visa problem.
Why the LA shows mattered to Umamusume fans
The Los Angeles dates were the first stop of the series’ first concert tour outside Japan. The free-to-play horse-girl racing and training sim is on Steam, iOS and Android, and its Steam version launched in June 2025. Its Steam page now bills it as the winner of Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards 2025.
