Dying Light 2’s Lead Writer Pawel Selinger left the company 2 days ago, and he posted on Linkedin, “After over twenty-two years, I decided to end my cooperation with Techland. I want to express my gratitude to the company that has allowed me to develop and fulfill myself for half of my life. Techland, I will always be rooting for you, as well as the great people I have met, thanks to you. I wish you that Dying light 2 and subsequent projects will become world hits. Goodbye, and good luck!”
This could be bad news for the gaming, and there were many rumors that it was going through development hell. Still, Dying Light’s Official Account tweeted before New Year to get ready for 2021, which could imply that more information about Dying Light 2 might come soon.

The Lead Writer leaving does not seem good news at all. It might delay the game even more since they will have to promote someone to Lead Writer or hire a new Lead Writer. Hopefully, the previous Lead Writer has provided enough work already on the game not to get delayed again.
Dying Light 2 might finally come out this year. I reckon that we will hear more about Dying Light 2 at some E3-Like Event or Sony’s State of Play or even just a surprise drop gameplay trailer. I hope the game lives up to the hype and doesn’t end in development hell like Dead Island 2.
