According to several people, Sony might Skip E3 again this year Jason Schreier said on twitter “E3 is in the worst shape it’s ever been — last year it was half-empty, and that was before they doxed thousands of attending journalists — so Sony skipping again would make total sense. I’d expect them to announce their own big PS5 event(s) instead”
For those people who don’t know about Jason: Jason is the news editor at Kotaku and has worked with companies like Wired.
Recently after his tweet David Ahmad quoted him and said “Should hear more about this today” we don’t know if he’s referring to the PS5 reveal event announcement, or Sony not being at E3 2020 Announcement.

It’s probably the PS5 reveal event announcement, Several Sony Executives are coming together at San Fransisco it would make sense that they are gonna announce the date of PS5’s Reveal event.
According to several rumours, the event is said to take place on 12th February. The Person that leaked Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok’s first image stated that the game would be revealed on Sony’s PS5 reveal event which might happen on 12th February.
According to Jason the PS5 is going to be more powerful than the RTX 2080 read about that news here.
