it’s safe to assume that the game is currently in alpha since the content ID has the word “alpha” in it the name is listed as “The Red Door” which is most likely the code name for Call of Duty 2020.

Call of Duty 2020 is set in Cold War according to Jason Schreier (A Reliable insider and a writer at Bloomberg)

Someone asked Jason Schreier about Call of Duty 2020 and said, “You mentioned the fact that Call of Duty has released annually since 2005. With Treyarch having a shortened development cycle because of the Sledgehammer/Raven issues, do you think it’s possible we don’t get a new release this year?” Jason replied with “As of right now, it’s still planned for fall, but nobody knows what’s going to happen in the coming months!” Then after that, someone asked Jason, “Would you happen to know any information about this year’s Call of Duty title? It’s leaked to be a Black Ops reboot, but I’m just curious as to what you’ve heard” Jason said, “I don’t think it’s a reboot” after that someone asked him “What do you think then? Vietnam title?” he replied with, “Yeah, Cold War/Vietnam, I believe.”

So this confirms that Call of Duty 2020 is set in Cold War.
The Gaming Revolution also states that it is related to the Black Ops Series, and it was supposed to be called Black Ops V.
But they are dropping the title “Black Ops” in Call of Duty 2020.
Last gen, there was a Call of Duty Vietnam in development by Sledgehammer, but it was canceled.
Jason Schreier previously stated that “due to development issues, Activision had chosen to assign the newest entry in the franchise to Treyarch again instead of having it crafted by Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software.”
